got a little work in yesterday- a big shipment from blick, too, with goodies like GAC 500 and 800, but that's for another time.

decided bunnies on the top one from yesterday- meaning abundance in feng shui, and red is an activating color. it is also the chinese year of the rabbit. so whoever buys this will be very lucky! :)

i chickened out on the drawing thing (must practice) and traced the rabbits, first taping a line to center them & so the bottom would be even. then i went in with liquid titan buff to fill in the outlines. once i added glazing liquid this worked better. i am scared to death of actually trying to paint with acrylics because they dry so fast. may need to make a trip to pick up some of the stuff that makes them dry slower & see if that helps. glazing liquid will too.

once i got that down, i went back in & put in some blacks to create a roadmap. they're already looking sort of like bunnies, aren't they? not sure what color they'll be. maybe silver & gold in keeping with the theme of abundance. maybe purple & red..... stay tuned-

Definitely get the drying retardant, or you can get float medium (for method painting) and use it. I've had good luck with it.
I have two bottles of Liquitex to slow drying; one a gel, one a liquid and have not opened either....
Love the bunnies! Gold and Silver!!!
