open studios- 6 hours of art making!

boise open studios is this weekend- the idea being that art patrons can visit studios & interact with artists & see where they create. my studio isn't done, so pam invited me to share with her. we invited nancy to come over too. as usual, i hauled everything i might need (used lots of it too).

and set up some goodies in hopes of sales- hoping in vain today as it turned out, traffic was pretty light.

what i DID get to do is sit & make art for almost 6 hours, which was great! this is the part i was looking forward to- i had a hard time even packing stuff to sell, b/c i was so focused on time to play.

i had several pieces i had started. thought i'd see how this would work if i put light modeling paste through some lace.

it worked pretty well-

here it is so far- progressing nicely-

i added a glaze of turquoise & prussian blue and think this one is finished-

and another nice background started here.

6 more hours to make art tomorrow, and hopefully a bit more traffic- but if not pam, nancy & i will still have fun creating together!

I really love that middle piece that looks like the full moon--all the color and texture--spot on!
Sorry I have not been around; swamped, still under the weather and trying to work too.
Yaaaa-Hooooo! ;)
