magnets

the squares are 3x3, the rectangle 2.5x3.5

the heart is liquitex resin sand texture gel. i added the paint to the medium rather than painting later. i cut the heart shape out of a styrofoam meat tray, placed the tray on the canvas & used a palette knife to slather medium over the hole. once it set up i removed the styro & let it harden all the way.

these magnets are selling at the gallery- i have them at $5 for a 2x2 or $7 for the larger ones. small investment for a piece of original art!

they're a great way to experiment with techniques & new products. i also like the challenge of working small- telling a story, evoking emotion or just figuring out composition and color combos without over thinking or overworking is a good exercise for me.

more new stuff tomorrow night (hopefully!)

Love these and love seeing someone being productive! Maybe I need to stare at them to get the butt in gear to produce instead of just waiting for this summer-bake-oven to be over! LOL!
Not sure which I like best....are you using the tiny canvases?

XXOO!!
