skywatch friday

sort of backwards when the sky over boise looks like this.....

and the oregon coast was looking like this.....

but then again, the coast was vacation & now i'm back to work, so maybe it IS right :)
here are a few more shots from vacay- natural bonsai (albeit a bit larger than living room sized)

hard to skywatch through the trees- especially while hyperventilating due to feeling enclosed- but some people like this sort of thing.....

i'm more the wide open spaces type

and for the grand finale
happy skywatch friday- for more skies around the world, click the badge

Well, they all mostly different from each other and I changed my favourite as I scrolled down. Yes, the final one is a ripper but mostly cause of those horizontal lines. I love the swirly clouds above the dunes ... you know you are alive when it is windy. But ... but ... but ... my favourite is still your unassuming first streetscape ... the perspective is astonishingly clear and powerrul ... and for me trying to work out the cars parked on the wrong side of the road brought a grin to my face.

Have a good weekend, hey!

You sure encountered a variety of skies. I love the natural bonsai picture, the wide open spaces and of course your sunset at the beach!

Lovely collection of skies, Marianne. There's beauty in all of them, but I'm ready for the autumnal colour of your first shot. Thanks for your comment on my SWF. I don’t think you would want to swap your prolific-wanton-experimentation-albeit-occasionally-sloppy Aries nature for my angst-ridden Virgoan perfectionism!

These are absolutely beautiful photos---I'm not sure which I like the best, though the tree is pretty spectacular and the sunset too!
Have a good one!!!

Great variety of skies you've shared with us. I especially like that tiny bit of sun reflecting on the beach in your final shot.
