i thought that maybe i could give some away at the market.
aceos are art cards, editions and originals. basically atcs made with the intent to sell. same small artworks.
here's the start of this evening's play- lots of stuff out. i decided to just start messing around.
here they are in various stages of done.

i need to find a way to better organize my images so that when i'm playing with this stuff it doesn't become such a treasure hunt. tho that can yield good things too, it just takes time...
anyway- part of a sunflower layered over a view thru the airplane window- gorgeous blues-
then i thought i should just try to make a damn atc. what am i so afraid of? i saw these cool inchies on marilyn's blog and decided to buck up & be brave. tho inchies, being square, could be easier for me...
anyway- started with these sheets of 140 lb wc paper with misc messes on them and got out the paper cutter.and ended up with a nice pile of 2.5x3.5 cards......
everyone participating in the project will post the "after" shots on their blogs on friday.
although this has been snowed on and rained on and had sun beating on it i don't see much disintegration. maybe when i take it apart the writing inside & the tissue paper will have bled onto the print paper.....

i will paint tuesday night, which i haven't done for a while. i
have 3 people who signed up for me to make them something, so i need to do that.
and decide what to enter in the art source juried show.
and paint zella's clapton & joplin.
then there's the yard work that has to be done. need to rip out vinca & obedient plant & divide echinacea & cut back the clematis.
and paint in fairfield next weekend.
sounds like time to get some rest-

i also doodled some, but i didn't do much art. so it was fun tonight to get back to it. after some real alone down time on the couch.
this is very close to done.
it's funny how much it helps me to look at things on the computer. i think i'm pretty good with it now, other than maybe knocking back the newest whites just a bit & getting it into the frame, then distressing said frame to work with the piece.
i do like it. steve said he felt it was sort of dark- as in occult- feeling. it has gone over more to a dream imagery for me than the graffiti feeling i had at first. what do you think?

in the meantime-
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. Whatcha get is whatcha get.
2. What I create will be just for you, with love.
3. It’ll be done this year (2009).
4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not something cyber. It may be weird or beautiful. Or it may be monstrous and annoying. Heck, I might bake something for you and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something strange.
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text on your blog and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to your blog post.
7. Send your mailing address - after I contact you.
IMPORTANT: This offer is null and void if I do not see you post your own blog to pay this forward.

palo verde tree- these trees have chlorophyll in their bark (which is green) so that they don't have to rely on their teeny tiny leaves for photosynthesis. bigger leaves lose more water and are not so suited for the desert.
